Crunchy Grouper Sandwich
I came in late for lunch and fortunately for me the rush was over. I ordered the Florida Grouper and when they say flash fried they mean it. Before I could check all my messages this nice thick piece of fresh Grouper on a toasted roll was placed in front of me. The Grouper was succulent in the crispy flash fried batter, (toasting the bun always works great and helps the sandwich hold together better), with lettuce, tomato, (I skipped the onion) and a jalapino tarter sauce that is a refreshing change from the traditional tartar. The sandwich comes with several sides to choose from. I had the cole slaw. It was better than most having both green and red cabbage and actual flavor. Normally I avoid fried foods, but for the right fried oysters, fish and other seafood I will make an exception. This Grouper Sandwich is everything a fried fish sandwich should be and is one of the best I have found in Sarasota.
